DEPARTMENT OF AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING

DEPARTMENT PROFILE

Automobile Engineering is in transition phase from traditional Petrol/Diesel Engine vehicles to Electric, Hybrid and Autonomous stages. Automobile industry is a fast moving sector requiring engineers who are conversant with the concept of product design, functional utility and integrated technology used in the manufacture of an Automobile. Students at GIET are educated and trained competently in these areas. And our Automobile Engineers are already proving their quality and worth in the Automobile Engineering field.

Vision

To be recognized as an epitome of Automobile Engineering

MISSION

The department indulges in activities to inculcate knowledge, skill and attitude by undertaking activities such as:

  • 1. Teaching regular practices and updating new technologies through utilization of software tools and sophisticated teaching aids
  • 2. Guest lectures, workshops, seminars and conferences
  • 3. Bridging the gap between industry and college through frequent industrial visits
  • 4. Carrying out research and development projects
  • 5. Developing entrepreneurial skills through internships and case studies
